Prepare your barrel
Start with a clean, dry barrel and a lid that closes securely. Check for cracks, sharp edges, or damage before adding anything. Ask SydCam about the size, contents, and handling limits for your shipment before you pack.
Pack a stable load
Place sturdy, heavier items near the base and distribute weight evenly. Wrap fragile items individually and fill gaps so contents cannot move freely. Keep clothing and other absorbent goods protected from items that could spill. Confirm acceptance of liquids or unusual goods before including them; packing alone does not make an item acceptable for shipping.
Label and record
Keep a simple inventory as you pack: item description, quantity, and value information where available. Put the recipient name and contact details on the outside and a copy inside. Photograph the packed barrel and its label, and keep your inventory with your shipment paperwork.
Check before collection
Before collection, confirm the pickup address, contact phone, barrel count, and any access instructions with SydCam. Secure the lid only after your final check. Keep the barrel in a dry, accessible place and have someone available to hand it over. Ask the team if you need help moving it safely.
